Te Tiriti O Waitangi

 

In Toroa we have been learning about the treaty of Waitangi. We had to answer questions about the english settlers that came to NZ in 8040. I learn't alot about the settlers as I was doing this task, like how they spent 6 months on a boat. If you had to spend 6 months on a boat what would you bring with you?

All About Me

 

In Toroa we had to make an all about me presentation about some stuff about us, I did mine on some of my favorite things. I used canva to make this, then put it onto slides so it is easier to post and view. What are some of your favorite things?

Lego Drawings

 

In Toroa we have been making self portraits of us using out of a lego person outline. We had to recreate ourselves as best as we could and we could make a background if we wanted to. This was a really fun activity to do. Have you tried drawing yourself as a lego person before?

My Pepeha

 

In the Toroa hub we have been working on our pepeha. A pepeha is how you introduce yourself to people in Maori. We had to learn our pepeha and then make a presentation and record ourselves saying it. Do you know your pepeha?

My Camp Reflection

 

On the 9th of February 2021, the Toroa class went on school camp to Wainui, and this is my Reflection on my favorite activity called code breaker. What code breaker basically is, is answer riddles to complete challenges. What is your favorite activity at Wainui Camp?

Jelly Park

 

On Thursday Marshland school went to jelly park for a school trip. It was a really fun day, and my favorite part was the hydroslides. What is your favourite part in jelly park

Flamingos

 

In Atkinson literacy, we had to fill out a slide about flamingos. After that, we got to make a flamingo animation about what we had learned. I made my animation with Makenzie. Have you learned anything about flamingos after watching this slide?
