In Toroa we have been learning about music. We first started of by learning about how music has changed throughout the years, and now we are learning about beats and how to write music. The treaty of waitangi

 

In Toroa we have been learning about the treaty of Waitangi, for this task we had to be either an English settler or a Maori and we had to describe the signing of the treaty of Waitangi from their point of view. I did a Maori man, I found that finding a Maori accent was the hardest thing to do. We used Voki to make this video. Click on this link to see my video

In Toroa we have been learning about the treaty of Waitangi. We had to answer questions about the english settlers that came to NZ in 8040. I learn't alot about the settlers as I was doing this task, like how they spent 6 months on a boat. If you had to spend 6 months on a boat what would you bring with you?

All About Me

 


In Toroa we had to make an all about me presentation about some stuff about us, I did mine on some of my favorite things. I used canva to make this, then put it onto slides so it is easier to post and view. What are some of your favorite things?

Lego Drawings

 


In Toroa we have been making self portraits of us using out of a lego person outline. We had to recreate ourselves as best as we could and we could make a background if we wanted to. This was a really fun activity to do. Have you tried drawing yourself as a lego person before?

My Pepeha

 


In the Toroa hub we have been working on our pepeha. A pepeha is how you introduce yourself to people in Maori. We had to learn our pepeha and then make a presentation and record ourselves saying it. Do you know your pepeha?
